This section will explain how to create and modify workouts for your participants using Motivation. These directions assume that you have already selected the participant you wish to work with. (See section titled "Selecting a Participant" for assistance.)
1. You will see the name of your selected participant displayed at the top of the page.
2. Click the "Workouts" link.
3. Click on "Member's Current Workout" from the drop down menu.
1. Select the template you want to use from the drop down menu.
2. Select the days of the week you want the participant to complete the workout.
3. Set an expiration date for the workout. You can either manually key a date into this field, or click on the calendar icon.
4. Click the "Submit" button to save your selection.
1. Click on the exercise name to see a description, plus starting and ending pictures.
2. Click "Edit" to change exercises in the workout. This is where you will change the reps, weight, days of week etc, used in each exercise. (See "Add/Change Exercise" below.)
3. Click "Insert" to insert an exercise into the workout at this point. (See "Add/Change Exercise" below.)
4. Click the "Up" link to move an exercise up in the order of exercises.
5. Click the "Down" link to move an exercise down in the order of exercises.
1. You can change the exercise by selecting a different exercise from the drop down menu.
2. By clicking the "Show Picture / Description" you will see an explanation of how to complete the
exercise, along with starting and ending position pictures.
3. Enter the number of reps & weight for each set. You can create up to 3 sets. (For cardio exercises, enter minutes! For flexibility, enter seconds.)
4. Select the days of the week you want the participant to complete the exercise.
5. Enter any notes that you wish to accompany the exercise. (e.g. seat height)
6. You can if you wish enter a tempo for the exercise. (e.g. '4-0-2' for a 4 second lift, 0 hold, 2 seconds
down)
7. Enter a rest period for the exercise, if you wish. (e.g. rest between sets in seconds)
8. You can change the date that you want the participant to stop completing this exercise.
9. Click the "Submit" button to save your changes to the exercise.
10. Click the "Cancel" link to discard your changes.
1. Click the "Clear" link to delete the Member Workout. You will be required to verify that you want to delete the workout. (See "Verify Workout Delete" below.)
2. To print Workout Card #1 click the "Print #1" link. (See "Workout Card #1" below.)
3. To print Workout Card #2 click the "Print #2" link. (See "Workout Card #2" below.)
4. To save the workout, click the "Save" Link. (See "Take a Workout Snapshot" below.)
5. To review previously saved workout snapshots, click the "Review" link. (See "Workout Snapshots" below.)
1. Click the "Yes- delete" button, to confirm the deletion.
2. Click the "Cancel" link, if you do NOT want to delete the workout
1. To take a snapshot of the workout, click the "Take Snapshot" button. You will then be returned to the "Member Workout" page. You will get a confirmation message that your workout snapshot has been stored.
2. Click the "Return to Workout" link to return, and NOT save the snapshot.
1. To review the snapshot click the "Review" link. (See "Workout Snapshot Detail" below.)
2. Click the "Delete" link to delete the snapshot. You will NOT be prompted to confirm the deletion.
3. To see an analysis of each exercise click on the "Analysis" link. (See "Historical Workout Data" below.)
4. Click the "Return to Workout" link to return to the workout.
1. Click on the exercise name to see a description, plus starting and ending pictures.
2. To return to workout click the "Return to Workout" link.
3. To return to snapshots click the "Return to Snapshots" link.
4. Click the "Replace Workout w/ Snapshot" link to replace the existing workout with the snapshot workout.
1. Click the "Current Workout" to return to the workout page.
2. Click "Snapshots" to return to the list of snapshots.
